About

A rising young talent, the Georgian pianist Khrikuli is making his Verona bow with the Arena orchestra in Rachmaninov’s demanding and much-loved Second Piano Concerto.

On the podium, Maestro Sagripanti makes his much-anticipated return for a programme devoted entirely to the cream of late Russian Romanticism.

Composed just a few years before the concert, Tchaikovsky’s Sixth and final symphony – best translated as ‘Appassionata’ – stands as his passionate musical testament.
