Francesco Pittari

After studying violin and composition, he graduated in vocal performance at the Conservatory of Salerno.

Since his debut in Verdi's Macbeth (Salerno, 2006), his name has appeared on the playbills of prestigious opera houses around the world (Arena di Verona, Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, Teatro Massimo in Palermo, Israeli Opera, Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago, Royal Opera House Muscat, Guangzhou Opera House, Seoul Arts Center, etc.).

He has specialized primarily in character roles (Harlequin, Goro, Edmondo, L'Incredibile, Pong, Arturo) and, thanks to his artistic qualities, has been chosen by leading conductors such as Oren, Santi, Jurowski, Ranzani, Aprea, Armiliato, and Morandi, as well as renowned stage directors including Zeffirelli, De Bosio, Homoki, Zambello, Mazzonis, Pontiggia, Deflo, Proietti, Ranieri, De Tommasi, and Michieletto.

This season, he performs in Turandot at Teatro alla Scala in Milan and Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, La Traviata at both Teatro alla Scala and the Arena di Verona, and Otello at the Verdi Festival in Parma.
