From Bach to the two thousands with Musei in Musica 2026
Eclectic program at Palazzo Maffei on Sunday, April 26
The Teatrino di Palazzo Maffei is already sold out for the new appointment of the chamber music series. Couperin, Bach, Carter: different worlds with flute, oboe, violin, cello, and harpsichord
Musei in Musica, the chamber music series of Fondazione Arena di Verona, spans over three centuries in the appointment on Sunday, April 26: the Teatrino di Palazzo Maffei is already sold out for the concert dedicated to sonatas and concertos by J. S. Bach, François Couperin, and Elliott Carter. An original program spanning more than three centuries of music, between dances and geometries, for an ensemble common in the early eighteenth century, and decidedly original for a piece from the 1950s. Performing it are the Orchestra professors of Fondazione Arena: Pier Filippo Barbano (flute), Matteo Forla (oboe), Quentin Capozzoli (violin), Martin Pratissoli (cello), and Federico Brunello (harpsichord). Combined with the concert is a free visit to the rooms of Palazzo Maffei Casa Museo, cultural partner of Fondazione Arena, which will also host the event on May 10. Seats are available for all other dates of the series, realized in synergy with Palazzo Maffei, Musei Civici di Verona, Accademia Filarmonica, Biblioteca Capitolare, Circolo Unificato dell’Esercito, Accademia di Agricoltura Scienze e Lettere, and Museo Nicolis. Tickets for single concerts and season passes, with special reductions for the under-30 audience, are still on sale on the website arena.it, at the Arena Box Offices, and through the Vivaticket circuit.
SINGLE TICKETS. Each date can be purchased with a single ticket for 15 euros (reduced to 10 euros for under-30s). For all concerts (with the exception of November 29 at the Museo degli Affreschi), tickets are also on sale on-site the morning of the event, subject to availability. Tickets include a free visit to the museum one hour before the concert. Those who purchase a single ticket for concerts in the Sala Maffeiana and/or at the Circolo Unificato dell’Esercito can choose which of the five museums to visit, starting from the day after the concert and until the end of the series.
A WEEKEND OF MUSIC WITH FONDAZIONE ARENA. The Sunday concert of Musei in Musica completes an intense weekend for the Arena's artistic ensembles, engaged in a true musical event: on Friday, April 24 at 8 PM, with a repeat performance on Saturday 25 at 5 PM, at the Teatro Filarmonico di Verona, conductor Lü Jia interprets the Ninth Symphony by Gustav Mahler, a pinnacle of the genre appearing for the first time on the stands of the Fondazione Arena Orchestra. Tickets and passes are available, including for the remaining highly anticipated symphonic concerts in May.
