Youngjun Park is a South Korean baritone recognised as one of the leading dramatic baritones of his generation. He gained international recognition after winning Third Prize and the Rolex Audience Award at the 2022 Operalia Competition, adding these honours to the other awards he has received at major international vocal competitions. He graduated from Hanyang University in Seoul and furthered his studies at the Luigi Cherubini Conservatory in Florence. He performs at major opera houses and festivals throughout Europe, North America, and Latin America. His repertoire includes the principal Verdi roles such as Rigoletto, Nabucco, Amonasro in Aida, Count di Luna in Il Trovatore, and Giorgio Germont in La traviata, as well as verismo roles including Scarpia in Tosca, Alfio in Cavalleria rusticana, Tonio in Pagliacci, and Gellner in La Wally. He has also distinguished himself in the bel canto repertoire, performing in Lucia di Lammermoor and Roberto Devereux at the Teatro Pérez Galdós in Las Palmas.
Among his recent notable performances are Rigoletto, Nabucco, and Count di Luna in Il Trovatore at the Teatro Verdi in Trieste, Nabucco and Amonasro in Aida at the Arena di Verona Festival, Alfio in Cavalleria rusticana and Tonio in Pagliacci at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, and Ping in Turandot at the Metropolitan Opera in New York.
He appears on the stage of the Verona amphitheatre during the 103rd Arena Opera Festival 2026.
