Defined as “…a young Josè Carreras”, Paolo Lardizzone was born in Catania and began studying opera singing in 2005, later perfecting his skills with Maestros Nazzareno Antinori, Renato Bruson, Giorgio Merighi and the soprano Fiorenza Cossotto. He performs Mario Cavaradossi (Tosca), Enzo Grimaldo (La Gioconda), Compare Turiddu (Cavalleria Rusticana) and Canio (Pagliacci), Fernand (La Favorita), Pollione (Norma), Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly), Edgar (Edgar), Macduff, Pinkerton, Giasone, Calaf, Ismaele, Osaka, Don José, Rodolfo (La Bohème), Calaf (Turandot), Renato Des Grieux (Manon Lescaut), Faust (Mefistofele) and Don Carlo (Don Carlo).
In 2024 he made his debut at the Arena di Verona as Don José in Zeffirelli's Carmen, a role to which he also returned the following year. In 2026 he is once again on the stage of the Veronese amphitheatre for the 103° Arena Opera Festival for the productions of Nabucco and Aida (Zeffirelli ed.).
