Considered one of the world's best baritones, Ludovic Tézier is a frequent guest at the most important international theatres such as the Metropolitan Opera in New York, Vienna State Opera, Paris Opéra, Deutsche Oper Berlin, La Scala in Milan, Liceu in Barcelona, Teatro Real in Madrid, Grand Théâtre de Genève, Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, the Salzburg, Bregenz and Glyndebourne Festivals, and the Chorégies d'Orange.

He collaborates with conductors including Sir John Eliot Gardiner, Myung-Whun Chung, Antonio Pappano, Riccardo Muti, Philippe Jordan and Marco Armiliato.

His repertoire includes the leading roles in Hamlet; Macbeth, Un Ballo in maschera, Falstaff, La Traviata, Don Carlo, La Forza del destino and Simon Boccanegra; Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin and The Queen of Spades; Don Giovanni and Le Nozze di Figaro; Werther (baritone version) and Thaïs; Lucia di Lammermoor; Les Troyens; Tannhäuser and Parsifal.

His previous successes include a new production of Faccio's Amleto at the Opéra national de Paris and new productions of Aida and Il Trovatore at the Royal Opera House. In 2023 he returned to the Festival d'Aix-en-Provence in a concert version of Otello.

Several CD and DVD recordings demonstrate a versatile and successful artistic career. His first solo album of Verdi arias, released in 2021, was highly praised by the press. In 2022, together with tenor Jonas Kaufmann, he recorded the album Insieme - Opera Duets.

He made his debut at the Arena di Verona in 2022 in the role of Giorgio Germont in La Traviata. In 2023 he performed the roles of Amonasro in Aida, Rigoletto and Germont in La Traviata and participated in the gala evening Jonas Kaufmann in Opera – Arena 100. In 2024 he performed several roles at the 101° Arena di Verona Opera Festival: he was Amonasro in the two productions of Aida, Escamillo in Carmen and Scarpia in Tosca. At the 102° Arena di Verona Opera Festival he returned as Amonasro in Aida and Giorgio Germont in La Traviata, then the title role in Rigoletto. He returns in 2026 for La Traviata and Aida and makes his debut in Nabucco.
