Jan Antem

Born in Barcelona in 1998, Jan Antem began his vocal technique studies in his hometown.
In 2016 he met the baritone Luca Salsi, his teacher for three years, and then perfected his technique with, among others, Davide Luciano, Ernesto Palacio, Juan Diego Flórez, Carlos Chausson, Raúl Giménez, Gioacchino Zerrelli, Mariella Devia and Carlo Meliciani.
In 2018 he made his debut in the role of Marullo in Rigoletto, a production of the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma in collaboration with La Fabbrica Young Artist Program.
In 2019 he made his debut as Dulcamara in L'Elisir d'amore at the Auditorium of the Conservatori del Liceu in Barcelona; as a student of the 2019 Accademia Rossiniana Alberto Zedda he performed Don Alvaro in Il Viaggio a Reims at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro; at the Mirna Lacambra Competition he won the role of Dandini in La Cenerentola at Opera Catalunya/ AAOS.
In 2020 he was the winner of the 71st As.Li.Co. Competition for emerging voices in Como and of Opera Lombardia.
He made his debut as Conte Robinson in Il Matrimonio Segreto at the Auditorio de Tenerife, also on tour at the Teatro Regio di Parma and the Teatro Massimo di Palermo; he debuted as Adamo in a staged version of La Creazione at the Festival della Valle d'Itria.
Between 2020 and 2024 he took the stage in the role of Don Parmenione in L'Occasione fa il ladro; Sulpice in La Fille du Régiment; Schaunard in La Bohème, Don Alvaro in Il Viaggio a Reims; Belcore in L'Elisir d'amore; Ben in Menotti's The Telephone.
For the 2022 Opera Season at the Teatro Filarmonico he debuted in the role of Schaunard in La Bohème. He made his debut at the Arena di Verona in 2022 in Carmen as Dancairo, a role he returned to in 2024 and for the 102nd Arena di Verona Opera Festival 2025, in which he also performed the Marchese d'Obigny in La Traviata, a production by Hugo de Ana. He is on stage again in 2026 for the 103rd Arena di Verona Opera Festival.
