Winner of a scholarship for the "Taormina Opera Stars", Elisabetta Zizzo was selected from more than 500 voices from around the world to perform at the gala evening L'Italia Incanta at the Ancient Theatre of Taormina. She made her debut as Adina in L'Elisir d'amore at the Teatro Bibiena in Mantua.
At Torre del Lago and the National Theatre "Ruben Dario" in Managua, she performed the role of Liù in Turandot, directed by Scaparro with costumes by Squarciapino.
For the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago, she was Musetta in La Bohème in 2016 and 2017 and Lisette in the 2017 production of La Rondine, conducted by Beatrice Venezi and directed by Plamen Kartaloff.
In 2018, she performed the role of Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi at the Puccini Festival and returned in 2019 as Musetta in La Bohème; she subsequently made her debut at the Verdi Festival in Parma as Anna in Nabucco.
She attended the Accademia Verdiana in Parma and, in 2017 in Viareggio, was awarded the "Puccini" Giovani Prize.
In 2019, she made her debut at the Teatro Filarmonico as Nella in Gianni Schicchi and as Giannetta in L'Elisir d'amore. She was part of the cast of Le Nozze di Figaro for the 2023 season.
In 2018, she made her debut at the Arena di Verona as Anna in Nabucco, returning from 2021 to 2023. In 2019, she performed the roles of Ines in Il Trovatore and Anna in Nabucco, Frasquita in Carmen, and took part in the Domingo Gala.
She returned to the Arena di Verona Opera Festival in 2023 in Rigoletto and Nabucco, an opera in which she also appeared in 2025 in Stefano Poda's new production. She will once again take to the stage of Verona's ancient amphitheatre in 2026 for the 103rd Arena di Verona Opera Festival.
