Elena Borin graduated in singing in 2000 from the “Lucio Campani” Conservatory in Mantua, singing the role of Zerlina in Don Giovanni that same year and making her debut as Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro at the Teatro Bibiena in Mantua. In 2001 she began collaborating with the Arturo Toscanini Foundation, taking part in productions of The Merry Widow and La Traviata. The following year she sang the role of Rosaura in B. Galuppi’s Il Fanatico in berlina at the Teatro Bibiena in Mantua.
She made her debut at the Arena di Verona in the role of Anna in Nabucco; Ines in Il Trovatore at the Teatro Regio di Parma as part of the 2006 Verdi Festival; Valencienne in The Merry Widow at the Teatro Piccinni in Bari; Giovanna in Ernani at the Teatro Regio in Turin; Giannetta in L’elisir d’amore in Bergamo and again Anna in Nabucco at the Baths of Caracalla.
In 2008 she sang the role of Alisa in Lucia di Lammermoor at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Lady Macbeth of the Mtsensk District by D. Shostakovich at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Rigoletto at the Arena di Verona and Janáček’s From the House of the Dead at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo. In 2009-2010 she performed the role of Elvira in L’Italiana in Algeri at the Teatro Regio in Turin, followed by L’elisir d’amore in Verona, and The Merry Widow in Trieste.
She made her debut as Musetta in La Bohème in Palma de Mallorca and in Die Frau ohne Schatten in Florence conducted by Zubin Mehta.
More recently, she has regularly taken part in major Arena productions of Nabucco, Il Trovatore, Aida and Madama Butterfly. For the 102° Arena di Verona Opera Festival she was Anna in Nabucco, in the new production by Stefano Poda. She is once again on the stage of the Veronese amphitheatre in 2026 for the 103° Arena di Verona Opera Festival.
