Alexander Roslavets

Alexander Roslavets is establishing himself as one of the most interesting bass voices of his generation. Graduating in 2014 from the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory in St. Petersburg, he subsequently joined the Bolshoi Theatre's Young Artist Program directed by Dmitry Vdovin. Winner of numerous international competitions, including the Grand Prix at the Russian National Vocal Graduates Competition, the Obraztsova, Vishnevskaya, and Eva Marton competitions, the Portofino International Opera Competition and the Belvedere in Vienna, he rapidly established himself on the international scene.

Among his recent and future engagements, the role of Boris in Lady Macbeth of the Mtsensk District stands out, opening the 2025/26 season at the Teatro alla Scala. He also takes part in productions of War and Peace in Geneva, Luisa Miller in Hamburg, Roméo et Juliette in Malmö, Le coq d’or at the Komische Oper, Boris Godunov at the Paris Opéra and in Toulouse, Mazeppa at the Tiroler Festspiele, Ivan the Terrible in Rome and at the MITO Festival, in addition to Shostakovich's Babi Yar and his return to the Royal Opera House in London with Boris Godunov.

He performs in major international theatres: Teatro alla Scala, Metropolitan Opera in New York, Glyndebourne Festival, Berliner Philharmonie, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Royal Opera House in London and La Monnaie in Brussels. Since 2016 he has been a member of the ensemble of the Hamburgische Staatsoper, where he interprets the leading roles of the Italian, Russian and German repertoires. Alongside opera, he maintains an intense concert, symphonic and chamber music schedule. He is on the stage of the Veronese amphitheatre for the 103° Arena Opera Festival.
