At the end of 2014, the so-called Art bonus was approved: a tax credit for donations by companies and private individuals, a tax incentive aimed at stimulating private funding for culture.
Art Bonus grants a 65% tax credit for investments supporting Italy's public cultural heritage.
The tax credit is granted: to persons with business income within the limit of 5 per thousand of their annual revenues, and to natural persons and non-commercial entities within the limit of 15 percent of their taxable income.
The tax credit is spread over three years.
