Costume designer and illustrator

Stefano Ciammitti is an Italian costume designer and illustrator born in Bologna in 1989. A student of Piero Tosi, he designed the costumes for the films Io Capitano by Matteo Garrone, Diamanti by Ferzan Ozpetek, Buen Camino by G. Nunziante, Promises by A. Sthers, Il Ragazzo più felice del mondo by G. GIPI Pacinotti, Notte Fantasma by F. Risuleo, Il Colpo del Cane by F. Risuleo, Breve storia d’amore by L. Rampoldi, the television series La legge di Lidia Pöet (seasons 1, 2 and 3) by M. Rovere, L. Lamartire, P. Mezzapesa, Motor Valley by M. Rovere, P. Mezzapesa, L. Patitucci, Supersex by M. Rovere, F. Mazzoleni, F. Carrozzini, L’Ora by P. Messina, Nudes by L. Luchetti, Master of Photography (seasons 3 and 4), The Mystery of Lost Paintings by G. Troilo and the documentaries Le Ninfee di Monet by G. Troilo and Palazzo Vecchio by P. Messina.

He has worked as an illustrator for Pinocchio by M. Garrone, Ben Hur by T. Bekmambetov, Genius by Ron Howard, My body will bury you, Mozart in the Jungle, Raffaello - Il Principe delle Arti, Medici - Masters of Florence, Inside Leonardo, Cindarella (Teatro alla Scala), Il Matrimonio Segreto for Piero Tosi (Spoleto Festival) and others. For the opera theatre, he designed the costumes for La Straniera at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.

At the Arena di Verona he designed the costumes for the Closing Ceremony of the 2026 Olympic Games and at the 103° Opera Festival the costumes for the new production of La Traviata.
