Francesca Pia Vitale

Francesca Pia Vitale is considered «one of the best talents to emerge in recent years from the academy of the Teatro alla Scala» (Musica magazine).

Recently she has sung as Epitide in Merope (also receiving the “Cantant Revelació” award from the “Amics del Liceu”), Musetta in Bohème, Norina in Don Pasquale, Elisa in Il re pastore, Giulietta in I Capuleti e i Montecchi, Adina in L’elisir d’amore and Angelica in Orlando in theatres such as the Liceu in Barcelona, Teatro Real in Madrid, Staatsoper Unter den Linden, Teatro Massimo in Palermo, Opéra Bastille and the Ravenna Festival. She opened the 2025 Festival della Valle d’Itria as Amenaide in Tancredi and sang in Mozart's Requiem in Florence and in Beethoven's Ninth Symphony at the Beethovenfest in Bonn.

Her 2026 engagements include the season opening of the Teatro Regio di Parma with Orfeo ed Euridice, Les dialogues des Carmélites at the Teatro Regio di Torino, Stradella's oratorio San Giovanni Battista in Prague and Dresden with the Collegium 1704, L’elisir d’amore at the New National Theatre Tokyo, Les pêcheurs de perles at the Palm Beach Opera, her debut as Donna Anna in Don Giovanni at the Palau de la Música in Valencia, the show “Piccinni e Gluck, una corona per due” to a text by Valerio Cappelli at the Ravello Festival and Don Pasquale at the Opéra Normandie Rouen.

She has had a regular relationship with the Teatro alla Scala since 2018, debuting in major roles and productions: in September 2026 she will make her debut as Violetta in the famous Traviata directed by Liliana Cavani.

She made her debut at the Arena in 2021 in La Traviata and returns there in La Bohème for the 103° Arena Opera Festival.
