Annalisa Stroppa

Annalisa Stroppa is an internationally acclaimed Italian mezzo-soprano and is regarded as “one of the finest singers performing today” (L’Opera).

Her career began in 2011 when she made her debut as Cherubino in I due Figaro under the baton of Riccardo Muti at the Salzburg Festival. Since then, she has performed at many of the world's leading opera houses, including Teatro alla Scala, the Vienna State Opera, the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Teatro di San Carlo, the Concertgebouw, and Teatro Real in Madrid, collaborating with conductors such as Roberto Abbado, Armiliato, Frizza, Currentzis, Mehta, Oren, Thielemann, and Currentzis in operas, concerts, and recitals.

Among her recent engagements are Camille Saint-Saëns’ Requiem at the Ljubljana Winter Festival, Verdi’s Requiem at the Teatro Nuovo Giovanni da Udine conducted by Roberto Abbado and at La Fenice in Venice conducted by Myung-Whun Chung, Carmen at Theatro Municipal de São Paulo and Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, Suzuki in Madama Butterfly at the Gran Teatre del Liceu, Preziosilla in the new production of La forza del destino at Opernhaus Zürich, the opening of the Teatro Grande di Brescia season with I Capuleti e i Montecchi, and her debuts as Sara in Roberto Devereux at Teatro di San Carlo and as Charlotte in Werther, a role she has performed in Dortmund, Bologna, Buenos Aires, and Bilbao.

Highlights of her 2026 schedule include Werther in Bilbao, Carmen in Venice, Modena, Piacenza, and Ravenna, Nabucco at the Arena di Verona for the 103rd Arena Opera Festival, Norma in Beijing, and Les Contes d’Hoffmann in Buenos Aires.
