Nabucco for Everyone
Jerusalem is under siege by Nabucco, king of Babylon. Ismaele, nephew of the king of Jerusalem, frees the prisoner Fenena—Nabucco’s daughter, whom he loves. In Babylon, Fenena joins Jerusalem’s cause, while Abigaille, Nabucco’s illegitimate daughter, schemes to seize the throne…
Nabucco will be presented as a new production at the 102nd Arena di Verona Opera Festival in 2025. Directed by Stefano Poda, this poetic and visionary staging explores the conflict between human values.
