Feola Rosa

Soprano

Rosa Feola is recognized today as one of the most refined interpreters on the international opera scene, appreciated for the brightness of her timbre, the elegance of her phrasing, and the profound musical sensitivity that distinguish her interpretations in the Mozartian and bel canto repertoire.

Born in San Nicola la Strada, she graduated with honors from the “Giuseppe Martucci” Conservatory in Salerno, and perfected her skills with Renata Scotto at the Opera Studio of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia. During her career, she has given life to benchmark interpretations in roles such as Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro, Adina in L’elisir d’amore, Gilda in Rigoletto, Elvira in I Puritani and Violetta in La Traviata, establishing herself in the main international theaters including Teatro alla Scala, Metropolitan Opera House, Royal Opera House, Wiener Staatsoper, Teatro di San Carlo and Arena di Verona, and collaborating with some of the most authoritative conductors and directors on the international scene.

Recent engagements include Traviata at the Metropolitan Opera House, Rigoletto at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden in London, and the 2026 New Year’s Concert at the Teatro La Fenice, broadcast on Rai 1. Alongside her operatic activities, she also devotes special attention to the chamber repertoire and recitals, areas in which she expresses a constant research into the poetic word and vocal color.
Particularly attached to the repertoire of the Neapolitan school, she has recently established herself as a protagonist in its rediscovery: her latest album Son regina e son amante dedicated to Niccolò Piccinni, with the Cappella Neapolitana conducted by Antonio Florio, was awarded the 2025 Premio Abbiati del disco.

With Fondazione Arena she sang at the Teatro Filarmonico for the 2020 Christmas concert and made her debut at the Arena di Verona as Gilda in Rigoletto in 2023. In 2025 she returns in Rigoletto and in La Traviata as Violetta.

She treads the stage of the Veronese amphitheatre once again for the 103° Arena Opera Festival 2026.
