A successful model ready to open up to new synergies. After building, together with the Veronese business community, 67 Columns for the Arena, one of the most significant cultural fundraising projects in Italy, Fondazione Arena di Verona is now taking its experience beyond the city limits. This marks the start of the roadshow “The Arena, a cultural and economic bridge between territories” which, next week, will visit the cities of Vicenza, Mantua, and Brescia. The initiative is created with the Athesis Group, media partner of the 67 Columns project since the first edition, with the support of Spotlight and Infront, and the collaboration of Confindustria.

Over the last five years, the 67 Columns for the Arena di Verona project has involved dozens of local businesses, raising nearly 10 million euros through the Art Bonus to support the Foundation's artistic and production activities. A virtuous model of collaboration between culture and business that is now opening up to new territories. After ideally rebuilding, with the 67 Columns, the outer wall of the Arena destroyed during the earthquake of 1117, and making it more solid than ever thanks to the strength of patrons, the goal now is to make the amphitheater even larger and more imposing by symbolically building a new ring of arches to support the most famous open-air opera house in the world.

The initiative intends to tell and share the cultural, economic, and social impact of Fondazione Arena with the entrepreneurial world of neighboring cities. A cultural enterprise that, thanks to its artistic activity and ability to attract an international audience, generates over 2 billion euros in value for Italy and represents a powerful engine for tourism and regional development.

The first event will be held on Monday, March 16 in Vicenza, in the suggestive setting of Villa Cordellina Lombardi, and will feature art historian Jacopo Veneziani. The roadshow will continue on Tuesday, March 17 in Mantua, at the Teatro Bibiena, with a contribution from journalist and writer Beppe Severgnini. The third stage will be on Thursday, March 19 in Brescia, at the Teatro Sociale, where Severgnini will again lead the reflection on the relationship between culture, economy, and territories. All meetings will begin at 6:30 PM. The appointments are also open to the public, subject to availability, with mandatory registration on the Eventbrite platform.

During the three evenings, music will not be missing. Some soloists, accompanied on the piano by the Superintendent of Fondazione Arena Cecilia Gasdia, will perform the most famous Opera arias, part of the Italian Lyric Song heritage of Humanity.
