Stravinsky Ebony Concerto

Concerto

9° Concerto

About

A journey through chamber orchestra's music from the 19th and 20th centuries: from Wagner's tender Idyll of Siegfried to the sounds of Bernstein and Stravinsky, who celebrate the past with preludes and fugues by dressing it in jazz. The protagonist of the performance is the clarinet, with the famous Ebony Concerto entrusted to Lorenzo Paini, Principal Clarinet for Arena di Verona. There is also a tribute to Arnold Schönberg, on the 150th anniversary of his birth, with his first chamber symphony. Maestro Pietro Borgonovo returns to the podium.
