Carla Galleri 
Costume Designer

Born in Sassari, Carla Galleri moved to Venice after high school to enroll at the Academy of Art, Scenography section, specializing in theatrical costume.

In 1997 she won the competition of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan to study at the theatrical costume school, then she enrolled at the Carlo Secoli Institute to specialize in cutting woman designer.

During her academic studies she worked with Fondazione Arena di Verona, where she completed her training in theatrical fashion design, taking from 2002 to 2007 the role of Head of the tailoring department for the organization of opera seasons.

From 2000 to 2007 she worked as Head of tailoring with the Teatro Sociale in Como, for which she plans and manages the tours of many opera performances.

The meeting with leading costume designers increases her propensity for the study and research of theatrical costumes, that will take her to work as costume assistant of Hugo De Ana and William Orlandi.

She works as tailoring assistant in several film productions and as a stylist for music videos and advertising, increasing her training and becoming costume designer.

From 2008 to 2010 she worked at the Teatro Regio in Parma as Head of tailoring. She currently works with the Fondazione Arena di Verona as Deputy Coordinator of the Tailoring Department.

In 2003 at the Arena di Verona, she makes the costumes for Verdi's Rigoletto, production proposed in 2004, 2008 and for the Centennial Festival 2013.
