Nada Matosevic was born in Fiume, Croatia, in 1971 and she completed her piano, flute and theory studies at the secondary school of music in Fiume, moving on to the Academy of music in Lubiana (Slovenia) in 1989, where, in 1993 she received her diploma in orchestra conducting.
She has already accumulated a vast experience not only with orchestras from her country (RTV Slovenia, Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra), but also with the Sicilian Symphonic Orchestra, with the Mexican Symphonic Orchestra, with the Catania Orchestra, with the Chamber music Orchestra from Padua and the Veneto region, with the Philharmonic Orchestra from Udine, with the Orchestra from the Teatro Municipale of Giessen in Germany and with the Orchestra of the Dubrovnik Festival.
At present Ms. Matosevic is Artistic Director and Music Director of the Opera Theatre in Fiume.
She is the founder of the Pro Arte Chamber music Orchestra (set up in 1991) for which she is still Artistic Director. She performs with them in Slovenia, Austria and Italy.
Since 1997 she has been teaching music form and analysis and the study of orchestra and operatic roles at the Regional Section of the Zagabria music Academy. Also, since 1997, she has been the assistant of Maestro Anton Nanut, Artistic Director of the Slovenia Octet and since 1998 she has been guest director of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Udine.
In 2001 Nada Matosevic founded the Fiume Philharmonic Orchestra, for which she is Artistic and Musical Director and in 2002 she won the prize from the city of Fiume.
