Alvise Casellati 

Alvise Casellati graduated as a Maestro of Violin under Guido Furini in the Music Conservatory of Padova "C. Pollini", his native city.  He continued his studies with Felice Cusano and Taras Gabora.  He further received a Juris Doctor (J.D.) Degree from the University of Padova, School of Law, and then completed a Master Degree (LL.M.) at Columbia Law School in New York, specializing in copyright law and he was then admitted to the New York Bar. 

After exploring conducting at the Juilliard School of Music, he was mentored by Piero Bellugi and further specialized with Gorenstein, Colin Metters, Korchmar and Nicotra.  He joined the team of assistants of Gustav Kuhn at the Neues Festspielhaus Erl (Austria) in the 2012/2013 season.

His debut in Italy was at Teatro La Fenice in Venice with the Orchestra and Choir of Teatro La Fenice to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the Unity of Italy in March 2011 and was invited the following year at Teatro Malibran in Venice.  He also conducted the Orchestra of the Teatro Carlo Felice of Genova, the Orchestra and Choir of Teatro Verdi of Trieste, Orchestra Filarmonica of Salerno (Teatro Verdi), I Pomeriggi Musicali Orchestra (Milan), Orchestra of Padova and Veneto, I Virtuosi Italiani, Orchestra Filarmonica of Turin, the State Orchestra of St. Petersburg, the Liepaja Symphony Orchestra, the Orquesta Municipal di Mar Del Plata (Argentina), the New York Chamber Virtuosi at Lincoln Center (New York), the Orchestra Provincia of Bari, the Orchestra Sinfonica Abruzzese, the Orchestra Sinfonica of Sanremo where he was invited back as guest conductor. 

Recently, he opened the Symphonic Season at the Spoleto Two World Festival at the Teatro Romano, conducted at Teatro La Fenice within the Venice Festival and conducted the Ravello Festival most famous Dawn Concert with great recognition from the public, the critic and the media.

He founded the Venetian Community of New York (where he holds the position of President and Chairman), the Friends of the Italian Cultural Institute of New York ("La Fondazione") and he was Secretary and Managing Director of FIAC (Foundation for Italian Art and Culture), non-profit foundation to promote Italian art and culture in the United States.  He is Member of Young Friends of Save Venice.
