Chiara Degani was born in Verona in 1978. In 2006 she got a certificate as drama actress by the School of Theatre “Alessandra Galante Garrone” in Bologna where she met some important italian directors and actors as Vittorio Franceschi, Walter Pagliaro, Giovanni Pampiglione, Mario Valgoi, Lorenzo Salveti.
In 2007 she got a bachelor degree in foreign languages by Fondazione Scuole Civiche in Milan. After the first working experiences in Verona and Bologna she decided to move to Rome in 2008 where she met some important theatre directors and actors.
She took part in some stages by international and Italian directors as Thomas Ostermeier, Giancarlo Sepe, Jan Fabre, Pierpaolo Sepe, Serena Sinigaglia, Elena Bucci, Fausto Paravidino, Stefano di Michele. She played in “Macbeth” by William Shakespeare directed by Gabriele Lavia, in “An ideal husband” by Oscar Wilde directed by Roberto Valerio, in “Dream” by August Strindberg directed by Matteo Tarasco, in “Three sisters” by Anton Cechov directed by Paolo Zuccari, in “Miles Gloriosus” by Tito Maccio Plauto directed by Cristiano Roccamo, in “This dream” by Luca de Bei directed by Patrizio Cigliano, in “Icaro” by Matteo Vicino.
She also played in some television series as “The odd couple” with Luca Bizzarri e Palo Kessisoglu, “Father Matthew” with Terence Hill, “Rex” with Francesco Arca. Currently she plays in “L’impresario delle Smirne” by Carlo Goldoni with important actors as Nicola Rignanese, Valentina Sperlì, Antonino Iuorio, Roberto Valerio. The play is produced by Associazione Teatrale Pistoiese and Valzer and it’s directed by Roberto Valerio.
