Elisabetta Gabbioneta 

Stage and Costume designer

Born in Milan, Italy, she attended the course of Stage Design directed by Tito Varisco and in 1986 she graduated at NABA, the New Accademy of Fine Arts in Milan.

From 1982 to 1988 she worked for Teatro di Porta Romana creating sets for different shows directed and represented by Franco Branciaroli and for Teatro Pierlombardo, as Gian Maurizio Fercioni's costume assistant.

A long collaboration  with Director Giampiero Solari started in 1988, with him she worked at several Drama and Comedy performances with very popular actors like Antonio Albanese and Paolo Rossi. She designed sets for Teatro Niccolini in Florence,  Centro Servizi e Spettacoli of Udine, Piccolo Teatro in Milan, QP in Turin, ITC Bologna. With A.GI.DI. Modena production, Director Arturo Brachetti, she designed stage sets and costumes for the trio of actors Aldo, Giovanni and Giacomo for them she also created costumes in two of their films. As movie set and costume designer, she worked at  Antonio and Cleo episode directed by Silvio Soldini, Provvisorio quasi d’amore, costume designer for Il nostro matrimonio è in crisi by Antonio Albanese, set designer for Acquario and La vita altrui directed by Michele Sordillo.

From 1989 to 1998 she designed sets for advertising films, working with Helmut Newton, Peter Del Monte, Gabriele Salvatores, Peter Gold.

With photographer Mauro Balletti she made a music video for the singer Mina.

She actively worked at events and exhibitions organized by Change Performing Arts, partnering  with Gianni Carluccio, she looked after scenic environnements for Bob Wilson, Peter Greenaway, Michelangelo Pistoletto e Gaetano Pesce.

She cooperated with Teatro Franco Parenti for the realization of their temporary headquarters in via Tertulliano, and coordinated works related to technique and stages during the restructuring of the historical hall in Pier Lombardo street, Milan.

In 2009 she designed  costumes for Donizetti’s opera Le Convenienze e Inconvenienze teatrali for the Teatro alla Scala directed by Antonio Albanese.

In 2012 in collaboration with set designer Gianni Carluccio and Vertov, she projected the museum exhibition of MEIS – National Museum of Italian Judaism and Shoah in Ferrara.
