She was born in Istanbul, Turkey and graduated at the ‘Opera Department of Istanbul State Conservatory’. In 1998 she started working at Istanbul State Opera and Ballet and here she studied vocal tecnique with Licinio Montefusco, with M.Adamadze and E.Uras and repertoire with Elisabetta Di Stefano, N.Chantrushvili and with the compositor, Selman Ada. From January 2011 she is studying with the mezzo-soprano Bruna Baglioni.
In 2006 she sang some concerts in Germany, Europe and Turkey and started working as solist soprano in Samsun (Turkey) State Opera and Ballet. In 2011 she won the 1st prize at the 9th International Singing Competition Martinelli - Pertile of Montagnana (PD) Italy, than she sang in some concert: Concert of Young Promising Opera Singers at the Festival of "Le Ville Tuscolane" in Frascati (Rome) Concert of "Le Pertiliadi" in Vicenza (Italy), "The autumn concert" at the theater of San Barnaba in Brescia (Italy). She participated to the Concert of the Marcello Giordani Foundation at the Merkin Concert Hall in New York.
In 2012, Seda Ortaç sung the role of Turandot at the Theatre of Izmir, Turkey. She sung as only soloist La Messa dell'Arista in Verona organized by Fondazione Arena di Verona. In October 2012 she has debuted the protagonist role of La Gioconda at the Teatro Verdi of Salerno.
In 2013 she sung a concert in Teatro Filarmonico of Verona for Veronalirica with Carlo Ventre, Simone Piazzolla and Marco Spotti. She is Lady Macbeth in Macbeth of G. Verdi at the Opera House of Antalya in Turkei. In May 2013 she is Aida at the National Theatre of Skopje, Macedonia. In September 2013, she will sing a recital at the Theatre Musashino Bunka Kaikan of Tokyo Japan, and in October will be Leonora in Forza del Destino of G. Verdi at Teatro Verdi of Pisa.
