Born in Canicattì (Agrigento/Sicily), Giacomo Patti studied at the Conservatorio "Vincenzo Bellini" in Palermo. He won several singing competitions and prizes such as the "Concorso Internazionale Vincenzo Bellini" and the prize of the AICS.
He gave his debut with the “Accademia Musicale” in Palermo in Mozart’s Requiem and Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana. Since then, he has performed at the Ravenna Festival as Gounod’s Faust conducted by Patrick Fournillier and directed by Micha van Hoecke; as Tebaldo in Bellini’s I Capuleti e i Montecchi directed by Cristina Mazzavillani Muti and with the Orchestra Lirica I Pomeriggi Musicali di Milano conducted by Pietro Mianiti in the main theatres of Lombardy and in Piacenza, Ravenna and Lucca (with DVD production for Kicco Classic), in Luca Ronconi's production of Puccini's Turandot at the Teatro Regio in Turin in the role of Pang.
Other important debuts were as Ismaele in Nabucco in Parma at the Piazza Duomo with the Orchestra Giuseppe Verdi and the Renata Tebaldi Choir, and as Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna directed by Graham Vick and conducted by Antonello Allemandi. He also performed as Edgardo in Cosenza in a production of the Teatro Francesco Cilea in Reggio Calabria with Desireé Rancatore in the title role.
Recent engagements include the concert titled Vincerò in memoriam of Luciano Pavarotti's debut as Rodolfo in Reggio Emilia, La Traviata in Cefalù and in Calabria, his debut at the Stadttheater in Bern as Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor conducted by Srboljub Dinic and directed by Kay Kuntze. He appeared as Fenton in Falstaff in a production with the Orchestra Sinfonica Siciliana in Palermo conducted by Marco Boemi, and was heard at the Opera Festival Europa in Bad Homburg (Frankfurt) in the role of Duca in Rigoletto.
Current engagements include: Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi and Alfredo in La Traviata with Teatro Coliseo in Porto, Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor in Jesi, Fermo and Ravenna (Stage Director H. Brockhaus, conductor Matteo Beltrami), Malcolm in Macbeth with the Teatro verdi in Trieste, Alfredo in La Traviata in Abu Dabi and in Rovigo, Verdi-Gala in Palermo with the Orchestra Sinfonica Siciliana, Duca in Rigoletto in Massa Marittima.
Engagements in the season 2013/14 include: Gala Verdi-Wagner in Malta with the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, Tebaldo in I Capuleti e i Montecchi with the Teatro Filrmonico di Verona and the Royal Opera House Muscat (ROHM) in Oman, Flavio in Norma for the Teatro Coccia di Novara, Gala verdiano with the Teatro Comunale di Ferrara and Zorzeto in Il Campiello by Wolf-Ferrari with Teatro Sociale di Rovigo and Teatro Malibran in Venice both conducted by Stefano Romani.
