Leah Crocetto 

Recognized as a rising star in the next generation of singers, Leah Crocetto has sung in many major theatres of the world, including Houston Grand Opera, Santa Fe Opera, Opéra National de Bordeaux, San Francisco Opera, Teatro la Fenice, Israeli Opera, and conducted by famous conductors such as M°Muti, M°Dudamel, and M°Luisotti.

She represented the United States at the 2011 Cardiff BBC Singer of the World Competition where she was a finalist in the Song Competition; in 2010 Crocetto was a Grand Finals Winner of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions and was the First Place Winner, People’s Choice and the Spanish Prize Winner of the 2009 José Iturbi International Music Competition, and winner of the Bel Canto Foundation competition.

San Francisco Chronicle said “…outlandishly gifted soprano Leah Crocetto” has a “powerful Verdi voice and formidable precision technique, and intensity that amplifies an already huge voice, and an innate, irresistible musicality.

Ms. Crocetto’s operatic credits include Turandot, The Rape of Lucretia, Maometto II, Il Trovatore, Otello, Le nozze di Figaro, La rondine, Manon, Don Pasquale, and Luisa Miller. As a former Adler fellow with San Francisco Opera, Ms. Crocetto was heard in productions of Aida, Il Trittico and Cyrano de Bergerac. She has also been heard in Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, Poulenc’s Gloria, Mahler’s Symphony No. 2, Handel’s Messiah, and Verdi’s Requiem.
