Former Solo Clarinetist at Orchestra Sinfonica in Rome, he won several International Awards, both as a soloist and with the Duo Alban Berg.
In 2008, after being selected by Teatro La Fenice di Venezia, he debuted as Rodolfo in Puccini’s La Bohème at Teatro Comunale di Treviso, with further performances in Venice, Jesi and Fermo.
Since 2010 he is a member of the ensemble at Sächsische Staatsoper in Dresden, where he debuted as Don José in Bizet’s Carmen, Riccardo in Verdi’s Un Ballo in Maschera, Mario Cavaradossi in Puccini’s Tosca, Nemorino in Donizetti’s L’Elisir d’amore, Gennarino in the world première of Hans Werner Henze‘s Gisela.
He worked with conductors such as Oren, Steinberg, Luisotti, Myung Whun Chung, Barshai, Thielemann and he performed at Gewandhaus Leipzig, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Sala Glazunov in Saint Petersburg, Tel Aviv Opera, Leipzig Oper, with Budapest Philarmonie, and at Festival Pucciniano in Torre del Lago.
In season 2012-13, he sang L’Elisir d’Amore, La Bohème, Madama Butterfly, Un Ballo in Maschera, Rigoletto and Manon Lescaut in Dresden, La Bohème at Teatro Regio in Turin and at La Fenice in Venice, Madama Butterfly again at La Fenice in Venice, Nabucco at Arena di Verona, Verdi’s Requiem (upon M° Mehta’s invitation) and L’Elisir d’Amore at Maggio Fiorentino.
Most recently, he was higly praised for his interpretation of Duca di Mantova in the Rigoletto taken in tour to Tokyo by La Scala and conducted by M° Dudamel, and he sang La Traviata in Seoul, Verdi’s Messa da Requiem in Valencia and in Dallas with the Dallas Symphony, Il Flauto Magico in Turin.
Future plans include: La Bohème in Kansas City, Oviedo, Tel Aviv and San Francisco, Simon Boccanegra at La Scala and in Dresden with M° Thielemann, Tosca in Dresden and Marseille, La Traviata in Berlin, a new production of La Bohème in Amsterdam, I Capuleti e I Montecchi at Klangvokal Festival in Dortmund, Maria Stuarda at Teatro Filarmonico in Verona, Madama Butterfly at Savonlinna Festival, Verdi’s Requiem at Musikverein in Graz.
