Tiziana Caruso was born in Catania. She started her studies with Antonio Annaloro and she graduated in singing at the Conservatory “A. Casella” in Aquila (during her studies she received important encouragements particularly by Franco Mannino).Currently she is studying with Bruna Baglioni in Rome.
Tiziana Caruso has achieved recognitions in many competitions: First Prize at Concorso di Nettuno (2004); First prize, Scholarship and Special Prize of the Jury at Concorso di Orvieto (2004); scholarship at Concorso Internazionale “Giuseppe Di Stefano” (2005); Second Prize at Concorso Internazionale Rocca delle Macie (2005); special Prize at Concorso di Ravello. First Prize at Concorso Città di Terni; Third Prize and Special Prize at Concorso Iris Adami Corradetti; Third Prize at Concorso Ottavio Ziino; First Prize at Voci Verdiane “Città di Busseto” 2007 (competition chaired by Carlo Bergonzi).
Tiziana Caruso debuted in 2002 as Mimì in Catania where she sang in following years Micaela (Carmen), Leonora (Trovatore), Manon and Tosca.
In February 2007 she debuted at the Theatre of Debrecen (Hungary) in La forza del destino (Leonora), a production that has been rewarded by the critics as a work of the year and was replayed at the Festival of Budapest.
In 2008 she debuted in the roles of Magda (La rondine) conducted by Steven Mercurio in the Detroit Opera House; Tosca conducted by Daniele Calligaris in the Theatre La Fenice of Venice (stage director Robert Carsen) and in the Sferisterio Opera Festival of Macerata (stage director Massimo Gasparon); Aida in the Baltimora Opera House conducted by Andrea Licata (stage director Paolo Micciché).
In 2009 Tiziana Caruso debuted in the role of Elvira in Piacenza, Modena and Ravenna conducted by Giampaolo Bisanti (stage director Massimo Gasparon); Simon Boccanegra in the Theatre Massimo in Palermo and Il Trovatore in Ascoli Piceno.
In 2010 she sang Otello (Desdemona) in Toronto; Tosca in Detroit Opera House, Carlo Felice in Genoa and National Opera of Athens; Aida at Theatre Herodion of Athens; in 2011 she debuted in the same theatre Cavalleria rusticana. In 2012 Aida in Parma,Teatro Regio and Macbeth at the Fondazione Pergolesi Spontini in Jesi.
Her next engagements include Macbeth at Teatro Filarmonico in Verona and Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa,
