Born in Las Palmas, Francisco Corujo received his musical education at the Superior School of Music in Las Palmas and at the Queen Sofia Superior College of Music in Madrid.
In 2006 he is the finalist of the prestigious Operalia Competition and in 2007 he receives the second prize (the first prize was not awarded) and the first prize as best tenor at Francisco Viñas Competition in Barcelona. His repertoire includes Romeo et Juliette (Tybalt) and La Traviata (Alfredo) both at the Theatre La Fenice in Venice, Idomeneo (Arbace) at Real Theatre in Madrid, Don Giovanni (Don Ottavio) at Teatro Verdi in Salerno, Macbeth (Macduff) in La Coruña, Valladolid and Jerez, Così fan tutte (Ferrando) in Malaga and Otello (Cassio) in La Coruña. Last engagements include Rigoletto (Duca di Mantova) with the Compañia Lírica Andaluza. Particulary interesting the upcoming engagement at The Israeli Opera in Tel Aviv as Edgardo in Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor conducted by Daniel Oren.
