From 1994 to 1998 he served as Deputy Mayor of Verona with responsibilities including Commerce, Roads, Parks, Traffic, Municipal Police and Labor.
From 1998 to 2000 he continued to be involved in city politics as a member of the City Council.
From 2000 to 2005 he served as Secretary General for Culture and Education of the Regione Veneto (regional administration).
In 2001 he was author of the Festival “Villaggi Sonori” (resounding villages) in collaboration with the Venice Biennale Musica (2001), the Contemporary Music Festival “Nuove Forme” (new forms) in collaboration with Fondazione Atlantide di Verona (2002 and 2003) and headed the organizational coordination from 2002 to 2005 of the activity of the regional Orchestra of the Regione Veneto Conservatories.
In 2007 he held the post of Operational Director of the Arena di Verona Opera Theater.
Since 2008 he has held the position of General Manager of the Fondazione Arena di Verona.
In 2009 he was appointed Sole Director of Arena Extra, an instrumental company of Fondazione Arena di Verona.
Since 2011 until July 2013 he holds the position of President of A.N.FO.L.S. - National Association of Lyric Foundations.
Since 2011 he is member of the Music and Entertainment Council established at the Italian Ministry for Cultural Activities and Heritage
Since November 2011 he is President of the National Pole of High Specialization of Performing Arts called Opera Academy Verona.
Since June 2012 he is the Sole Director of AMO, the first museum of opera.
For the Centennial Opera Festival 2013 at the Arena di Verona he is the President of the Veneto Region Commission for Centenary Celebrations 2013.
