Fabio Grossi is an Italian dancer with international experience.
Born in Rome in 1977, he trained at theAccademia Nazionale di Danza (Italy).
He also studied with M. Besobrasova, R. Hightower, R. Franchetti and W. Burmann.At age 19, he was a First Prize Winner at the Rieti Competition (Italy) and a Finalist at the Moscow International Competition (Russia) directed by Y. Grigorovich.
In 1997 he made his debut with Aterballetto (Italy), then he worked with the Grand Theatre de Geneve, the Leipziger Ballett, the Teatro alla Scala in Milan and the Ballet National de Marseille.
He performed lead roles in ballets byG. Balanchine,J. Kylian,W. Forsythe,U. Scholz,O. Naharin,R. North,A. Amodio,M.C. Pietragalla and M. Bigonzetti.
From 2003 to 2007 he has been one of the leading artists of the Rome Opera Ballet, performing as partner of Italian Ballerina Carla Fracci.
As a Principal Dancer, his repertoire includes nearly all the major classical, neoclassical and romantic roles in the most famous ballets.
At the Rome Opera House, many principal roles in new contemporary works have been made especially for him.
Fabio Grossi won the "Leonide Massine" Dance Award in Positano twice: as a Young Talent in 1997 and as a Principal Dancer in 2007.
He also won the "Anita Bucchi" Dance Award as Best Male Dancer in 2007. Fabio Grossi is now a Guest Artist.
