He was born on 18th June 1969 in Verona, where he is still living.
After studying humanities at the “Scipione Maffei” State Secondary School in Verona, he became industrial computer programmer and pursued a career in this profession.
In 1994, at the age of 25, he was elected City Councilman in Verona.
In April, 2000 he was elected Regional Councilman, holding the leadership of his group until January, 2002.
At the elections in 2004 he was elected Provincial Councilman.
He was re-elected at the Regional Elections in 2005, reaching the all-time record of preferences among all candidates. Thanks to this result, he held the position of Councilman for Health of Regione Veneto, until his election, at the local elections in May 2007, of Mayor of Verona (elected with 60.75% of votes).

At the City Elections 2012 Flavio Tosi has been confirmed Mayor of Verona with 57.35% of total votes.
