
Victor Garcia Sierra was born in Maracaibo (Venezuela) and has Italian citizenship. He was taught by Maestro Otto Soto Arenas and began his musical studies at the Conservatorio José Luis Paz in Maracaibo.
In the following years he took courses at the voice training centre of the Teatro Teresa Carreño in Caracas under the guidance of Lucy Ferrero. He attended other specialization courses at the Katia Ricciarelli Voice Accademia, under the guidance of Paolo Washington (Mantua).
His international career began when he won the Singing Festival competition in Marmande, France in 1994. Victor Garcia Sierra has performed in many theatres all over the world: Teatro De Bellas Artes in Maracaibo, Teatro Teresa Carreño (Venezuela), Teatro Segura (Peru), Teatro Municipal of Sao Paolo (Brazil), Teatro Municipal of Bogota (Colombia), Opera d'Avignon, Opera of MonteCarlo, Grosses Festspielhaus (Austria), Teatro Real de Madrid (Spain).
He participated in
La Traviata in Paris conducted by Maestro Zubin Mehta as well as in the anniversary concert at the Teatro Real de Madrid, in the première of the opera Merlino.
In 2004 he made his debut at the Arena di Verona in the role of Dottor Grenville in
La Traviata.
In the 2006 summer opera festival at the Arena he will perform the part of Zuniga in
Carmen.
