
He began studying voice at the Conservatory in Benevento with Maestro Silvano Pagliuca and at present he is studying repertoire preparation with Maestros Paride Venturi and Paola Molinari. In 1997, he won an International Competition for young opera singers in Montegorgo (Ascoli Piceno, Italy) and he began singing in concerts which led to performances with important artists like Leo Nucci ("Nuraghe d'Oro 97" Award in Cagliari), Roberto Servile (Premio alla Carriera, Carpi, Italy, 1998 - the prize he was awarded for the work carried out during his career), Sonia Ganassi (Premio alla Carriera, Teatro Borgatti, Cento, Italy, 1998) and Mirella Freni (Modena, 1999).
In 1999, he was a finalist in the "Franco Corelli" International Competition in Ancona.
In May 2000, he made his debut in
Madama Butterfly at the Teatro Bonci in Cesena, Italy.
Later he performed in
La Bohème (as Rodolfo), produced by As.Li.Co., in the Theatres of Pavia, Brescia, Bergamo, Cremona and Como.
