Italian citizen, she graduated in singing at Conservatoire "F. Morlacchi" of Perugia where she took also a diploma in piano.

Steffani at Braunschweig, has worked in important Italian and foreign theatres including the Teatro Filarmonico and Arena of Verona (continuously from 1997 to 2010), Teatro Regio in Turin, Teatro dell’Opera, Terme di Caracalla, Argentina in Rome, Carlo Felice in Genoa, Teatro Massimo in Palermo, Teatro Comunale in Bologna, Sferisterio of Macerata, Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the Verdi of Busseto, Opera and Acropolis of Nice, The Opera House in Budapest, The Concert Hall in Dublin and in major theatres of Italian tradition, working with highly prestigious directors including: C.
