After its launch in 2013, on the occasion of the Festival of the Arena di Verona Centenary, the triennial musical education project “Opera Aperta” continues, with the intent of attracting a large number of primary school pupils to the word of Opera. At the end of the program, every class will have experienced a meeting with the music, the plot and the set, integrating this with various educational subjects studied to facilitate the understanding of the “opera world”.
The project’s climax this year is the staging of Il Barbiere di Siviglia at the Teatro Filarmonico, as a scholastic performance open to the city’s population.
The project was conceived and developed by musician Elisabetta Garilli and realized in the classrooms by the team of “Disegnare Musica, Musica d’insieme per crescere.”
