Along with Rigoletto and La Traviata, Il Trovatore is part of the so-called “Popular Trilogy”, thanks to which Giuseppe Verdi is acknowledged as the major Italian composer of the 19th century. Direction and set design are by Franco Zeffirelli and costumes by Raimonda Gaetani. The flamenco choreography by El Camborio has been adapted by Lucia Real, whereas the duel scenes were prepared by master of arms Renzo Renzo Musumeci Greco. Daniel Oren is on the conductor’s podium for all four evenings.
