Arianna Kollner, after having received her diploma in fashion design, worked as a fashion designer from 1979 to 1985 in the company Testoni in Bologna, drawing sketches of costumes for two ballet seasons for the Teatro Verdi in Trieste. Subsequently she left the world of fashion to dedicate her time to the theatre: she collaborated with the Centro Lirico Internazionale (Opera Institution) in Adria creating various stage designs for performances and in 1990 she created the stage design for the Palma di Mallorca Festival in which Rudolf Nurejev, Alicia Alonso and Victoria De Los Angeles participated.
In 1992 she created the scenography for Rigoletto for a tour in the USA.
Arianna Kollner has worked as a decorative scenographer for many opera seasons in Italy and in 1998 she designed the scenes and costumes for Les Pêcheurs de perles by Bizet for a tour in Holland and Belgium.
In 1994 she began working with the Director Marco Pucci Catena and together they staged Il Contrabbasso by Bucchi in Chiavari, La Bohème in Laives, Madama Butterfly in Imperia, Pagliacci in Ascoli Piceno, Il Turco in Italia at the Kammeroper in Vienna, Rigoletto at the Opera Company in Philadelphia, Fedora at the Teatro Donizetti in Bergamo, La Bohème at the Teatro Coccia in Novara, Simon Boccanegra and La Bohème at the Teatro Bellini in Catania.
