The actor Roberto Petruzzelli was born in Modugno on may 25th 1958. He graduated from the civic theatre school of Piccolo Teatro in Milan and he majored with honors in speech therapy and use of the voice from the facutly of medicine and surgery.
Since 1991 he collaboretes with Teatro Nuovo of Verona (Teatro Stabile) taking part as an actor in several shows such as Romeo e Giulietta, Amleto, Otello, Macbeth, Amante militare, Sette piani by Buzzati, Pericle, Enrico IV directed by Paolo Valerio and “Arlecchino servitore di due padroni” directed by G. Emiliani together with “Fratellini”and Estate Veronese.
He worked with well known italian actors and directors such as Tino Schirinzi, Gabriele Lavia, Marcello Bartoli, Paolo Valerio, Michele Mirabella, Ugo Pagliai, Paola Gasmann, Giampiero Solari, Andrea Giordana, Daniele Abbado, Giuseppe Emiliani, Giancarlo Cauteruccio, Armando Pugliese, Renato De Carmine, Ivano Staccioli, Isa Bellini, Vito Signorile, Momo Borojevic, Franco Damascelli.
He founded, together with Marcello Bartoli, Vincenzo Cerami, Nicola Piovani and Siro Ferrone the “company of young people from Fiesole” taking part to the shows “Casa fondata nel 1878” by Vincenzo Cerami and “La gita “ by Umberto Marino.
Also, he collaborated as narrator with the city theatre of Bologna, the Arena di Verona foundation, the petruzzelli theatre foundation, Solisti Dauni from Foggia, and Niccolò Piccinni foundation.
He is currently taking part to the show “il bugiardo” by Goldoni, with Marcello Bartoli and Dario Cantarelli, and “Mannaggia! Omaggio a Peppino De Nittis, pittore”.
