The catalan soprano Maria Hinojosa Montenegro graduated in singing and Lied with highest qualification and award of honor at Superior School of Music of Catalonia (ESMUC).
He made his debut at the age of sixteen interpreting main roles of more than twenty Zarzuelas, obtaining in 2007 the prize of the critics, and nominated as Best Musical Actress in Spain in El dúo de la Africana, directed by Xavier Albertí in Barcelona and Madrid.
She interpreted many roles of major classical works and belcanto in Europe, Mexico and USA. She collaborated frequently with renomated directors like Gabriel Garrido, Ottavio Dantone, Enrico Onofri, Rinaldo Alessandrini, and Eduardo Lopez Banzo. She recorded for Harmonia Mundi and K617 the operas Gli amori d'Apollo e di Daphne by Cavalli directed by Gabriel Garrido, Peter Philips by Capella Mediterránea, the zarzuelas Fontana del Placer by J. Castel and La Clementina by Boccherini directed by Pablo Heras. She also recorded the works of the contemporary operas Primary colors by Agustí Charles, Anna Cruse by Eduard Resina, RMSonce and The game of life by Francesc Martí. Soon will record a selection of works by the Catalan composer Joan Guinjoan. Soon she will be invited to sing, directed by Giovanni Antonini, a selection of Mozart's arias at Auditori of Barcelona. The opera Semiramide riconosciuta of Porpora with Accademia Bizantina at Beaune and Santiago's festivals, Vivaldi and Händel's arias at Beaux Arts in Bruxelles, Concertgebouw of Brugge, Champs-Elysées in Paris and Theater an der Wien.

The opera La Salustia of Pergolesi at Festival Pergolesi Spontini of Jesi. Also she will sing in Martin i Soler's l'Arbore de Diana, directed by Fabio Biondi in Montpellier. Under the baton of Sir N. Marriner, she sings the Mozart Requiem.
