Khachatur Badalyan 
TENOR 

Khachatur Badalyan was born in 1982 and studied at the State Music Conservatory S. Rachmaninov in Rostov (teacher: Petrova N.).
In 2007 he started his soloist careen in Novaya Opera Theatre Moscow and he continued in 2008 at the Bolshoi Theatre.
He attended numerous master classes with such prominent singers and conductors as Richard Budo and Diane Zola (Association of Houston Grand Opera), Leonore Rosenberg (the Metropolitan Opera in New York), Veriano Luchetti and Mietta Seghele (Riccardo Zandonai Opera Festival in Riva del Garda, Italy) and Michael Paul (USA & Italy).
He has performed under the baton of conductors Michael Pletnev, Antonello Allemandi, Keri-Lynn Wilson, Teodor Kurentzis, Marco Bohemi and Eri Klas, to name only a few, and has collaborated with several Irina Arkhipova's projects.
Between 2007 and 2010 he successfully took part to several international singing competitions: Galina Vishnevskaya Opera International Singers III Competition (Russia), International Singing competition "Marcello Giordani” (Italy), International singing competition in memory of tenor Luciano Pavarotti (Russia).
In november 2011 he debuted in Rusalka at the Montreal Opera, gaining an extraordinary success.
He recently performed as Rodolfo in La Bohème at Teatro La Fenice in Venice and among his future engagements there are Les Contes d’Hoffmann at the Mariinski Theatre under the baton of M°Gergiev; Carmen in Paris and La Traviata at the Deutsche Oper Berlin.
