
David Babayants born in Yerevan, Armenia .
In 1992 attended Yerevan State Fine Arts Academy as a graphical painter, before entering the Yerevan State Conservatory to study vocal in 1996.
David Babayants was studying in “ Accademia Tebaldi-Del Monaco” , and in “Accademia Rossiniana” Pesaro, Italy. He had also classes with Raina Kabaivanska in Sofia, Bulgaria
Since 2005 he is a soloist of Yerevan State Opera and Ballet Theatre where he made his debut as Count di Luna in Il Trovatore.
Babayants performed a number of leading baritone roles, such as Severo in Poliutto, Count di Luna in Il Trovatore, Rigoletto in Rigoletto, Paolo in Simone Boccanegra, Nabucco in Nabucco, Germont in La Traviata, Amonasro in Aida, Don Prudenzio in Il Viaggio a Reims, Silvio in Pagliacci ...and others.
In 2011 participated in International Competition “Voci Verdiane” in Busseto, Italy where was recognized as best baritone and invited to perform Verdi’s La Traviata in Busseto, in front of Verdi’s birth-house, with Maestro Marcello Rota.
In March 2012 he had his debut as Scarpia in Puccini’s Tosca in Toronto, Canada. Participated in festivals: ”Rossini Opera Festival” Pesaro, ”International Conservatoire Week” Saint-Petersburg, ”Kabaivanska Gala” Sofia...and others.
