Possessed with exceptional musical talent, a real passion for opera and an incredible stage presence, Angel Odena has been performing for nearly two decades in the most important opera houses of Europe and he is recognised as one of the most emblematic baritones of his generation. His great versatility as a singer has led him to a wide spectrum of musical styles, including a considerable amount of oratorio and vocal symphony, but he is at his very best in opera.
His debut was in 1994 in La Bohème in the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari; the beginning of a career which now includes more than fifty operas.
French opera includes: Romeo et Juliette, Faust, Samson et Dalila, Thaïs and one of his favourite personalities: Escamillo, from the ever popular Carmen, that he has already sung in Jerez, Palermo, Toulouse, Cap Roig, San Sebastian and Orange.
He will debut in the summer of 2009 in the Arena di Verona in Carmen with the musical direction of Plácido Domingo.
