Gianpiero Ruggeri 
Born in Atri (TE), Gianpiero Ruggeri started his musical studies at the Rossini Conservatory of Pesaro, where he graduated in 1984 in Trombone. He has subsequently dedicated himself to the singing studies. Graduated with full marks in 1990 he specialized with Sesto Bruscantini. In 1992 he made his professional debut in Pesaro in Il Barbiere di Siviglia, under the baton of Michele Marvulli. In March 1995 he sang the role of Olivier in Strauss’s Capriccio at the Teatro Regio di Parma, under the baton of Gustav Kuhn. This was followed by the role of Malatesta in Don Pasquale at the Teatro Gentile in Fabriano and, in January 1997, by the production Li puntigli delle donne by Gaspare Spontini (Conte Brontolone), under the baton of Alberto Zedda.

Regularly invited at Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro and at Wildbad Opera Festival, it’s worth mentioning his performances in opera by Rossini such as: Barbiere di Siviglia, La Gazzetta, La Cambiale di matrimonio, L’Italiana in Algeri, Il Viaggio a Reims, La Cenerentola, L’occasione fa il ladro. Among the others he sang Don Giovanni, Le nozze di Figaro, Così fan tutte, Madama Butterfly, La Bohème and Manon Lescaut and Falstaff, Die Fledermaus, Pagliacci by Leoncavallo, Il Cappello di paglia di Firenze by Rota, Lucia di Lammermoor and L’Olimpiade.

He has sung in some of the most important italian theaters: Teatro dell’Opera in Rome, Il Petruzzelli in Bari, il Piccolo Teatro in Milan and Regio in Parma and abroad in Nîmes, Alès , Carcassonne, in Kohln, at San José Theater in Costarica, at Michigan Opera Theater di Detroit, and at Hiroshima Theater . He was conducted by: Paolo Arrivabeni, Wilhelm Keitel, Bruno Dal Bon, Corrado Rovaris, Sigmund Weinmeister, Jonathan Webb and directed by Dario Fo, Gigi Proietti, Gianluigi Gelmetti, Mario Martone, Irina Brook.
