Born in Castelfranco (Veneto/Italy), he started his piano and vocal training very young. He made his debut at the age of seventeen in G. Rossini’s La Cambiale di Matrimonio.
He won a scholarship at the International Singing Competition “Toti Dal Monte”, among whose jury we remind the baritone Renato Bruson and the soprano Leyla Gencer and was awarded the best young baritone in the competition “Tito Gobbi”. He was winner of the “Enrico Caruso” competition and awarded the first prize at the “International Competition Sanremo Lyric” in 2004. He also won the “Aldo Protti” award as best baritone at the Competition for young Voices Verdiane in Busseto. In 2001 he made his début in the role of Umberto in G.B. Pergolesi’s La Serva Padrona at Wiener Saal of Salzburg’s Mozarteum.
In 2003 he sang at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan in the production of Luisa Fernanda, then returned there in 2004 for Gianni Schicchi and in 2005 Il Barbiere di Siviglia, playing the role of Don Bartolo.
As a student at the Opera Singers Specialization Academy of Teatro alla Scala in Milan, he was trained by L. Gencer, L. Alva, T. Berganza, L. Serra and G. Canetti, among the others.
In 2006, he performed in Piacenza, alongside Leo Nucci in Il Barbiere di Siviglia, a role that he performed also in June at the Teatro alla Scala. In December he performed in Pizzetti’s L’Assassinio nella Cattedrale in Bari recorded by “Unitel”and “Decca”.
He recently performed in Gianni Schicchi in Naples, in Il Barbiere di Siviglia at the Teatro Regio in Turin , in Gianni Schicchi at La Scala in Milan and made his debut in Genoa with Il Turco in Italia.
In 2009 he performed with Madama Butterfly in Venice where he will sing also La Traviata. At the Arena di Verona, he will sing in the Serata di Gala con Placido Domingo.
