
Since her debut in Spoleto, Cinzia Forte has appeared in the most important opera houses and concert halls in Italy and abroad. She is invited by such theatres as Teatro alla Scala and the opera houses of Napoli, Venezia, Roma, Bologna, Palermo Torino, Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, Covent Garden in London, Royal Concertgebouw and Nederlandse Opera in Amsterdam, Liceu in Barcelona, La Maestranza in Seville, Zurich Opernhaus, New National Theatre in Tokyo, Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris, São Carlos in Lisbon, Berlin Deutsche Oper.
Cinzia Forte excels in a lyric and coloratura repertoire and made herself known to an international audience having sung belcanto operas by Rossini Donizetti, Bellini, Mozart’s operas, and French operas as
Manon and Roméo et Juliette. She portrayed the main roles of
Lucia di Lammermoor, La Sonnambula, Don Pasquale, L’elisir d’amore, La fille du régiment, Le comte Ory, Il viaggio a Reims, Il turco in Italia, La Gazzetta, La gazza ladra, Tancredi and the roles of Susanna (
Le nozze di Figaro), Despina (
Così fan tutte), Donna Anna(
Don Giovanni) , Micaela (
Carmen) Pamina (
Die Zauberflöte). She also has sung as Violetta, Gilda, Oscar (
Un ballo in maschera), Nannetta (
Falstaff).
She regularly collaborates with prestigious conductors, such as Abbado, Campanella, Chailly, Chung, Lopez-Cobos, Gatti, Gelmetti, Tate, Jacobs. She also has the chance to work with internationally known directors such as Vick, Luca Ronconi, Pizzi, Zeffirelli, Fo, Savary, Miller, Decker, De Simone, Hampe, Martone, Sagi.
Graduated in singing and piano, Cinzia Forte was the winner of several international competitions such as “Giacomo Lauri Volpi” of Latina and “A. Belli” of Spoleto.
