
Carlos Alvarez is from Malaga in Spain, and studied at the Conservatory in his home city. He began to interpret small roles and, during a performance of
Carmen in which he sang the role of Morales, he was noticed by Luis Lima alongside whom he performed subsequently at the Teatro Arrigo in Bilbao in an opera concert. He then appeared at the Teatro La Zarzuela in Madrid and from that moment his career began and he performed at the Wiener Staatsoper, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Teatro Reál in Madrid, Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires and Teatro Liceu in Barcelona. He has participated in music festivals alongside Placido Domingo and others in Frankfurt, Tokyo, Hannover, Berlin, Madrid, Seville and Bonn.

Evgenij Onegin in Madrid and Seville,
La Bohème and
Il Barbiere di Siviglia in Zurich,
Il Guarany in Bonn,
La Traviata and
Fedora in London,

La Traviata in Bonn and Hamburg,
Stiffelio in Madrid,
Don Carlo in Mannheim and
Madama Butterfly in Milan. Soon he will be in Vienna, New York, Milan, Bonn, Geneva and Washington. He will make his debut this year in the Arena di Verona in the title role of the opera
Rigoletto.
