Roberto Servile 
TENOR 
Roberto Servile has won numerous competitions, among which the Toti Dal Monte in Treviso (1984) and the Opera Company of Philadelphia - Luciano Pavarotti International Voice Competition (1985), his career began in 1985 with the interpretation of the role of Marcello in La Bohème, alongside Luciano Pavarotti, in important international theatres: from Philadelphia to Turin, from Peking to Berlin to Geneva.

The following year he was chosen by Herbert von Karajan to sing in Don Carlo at the Salzburg Easter Festival. He worked intensely with the Teatro dell'Opera in Rome where he interpreted Don Carlo (Marchese di Posa, 1987), Poliuto (1988), Zelmira (1989), Ifhigénie en Tauride (1990), La Bohème (alongside Mirella Freni and conducted by Maestro Daniel Oren, 1992), Il barbiere di Siviglia and Lucia di Lammermoor (1992, 1993 and 1994), Macbeth (1995), Iris (Kyoto, 1995), Maria Stuarda (Lord Cecil, 1997), La Traviata (1998, 2000). In 1988 he began performing roles from the Bellini repertoire, interpreting Valdeburgo (La straniera), Filippo Maria Visconti (Beatrice di Tenda) and Riccardo (I puritani).

His following commitments included performances in the most important Italian and foreign theatres: Teatro Regio in Turin (Don Carlo, Lucia di Lammermoor, I puritani, Samson et Dalila, Evgenij Onegin, La Traviata, Il barbiere di Siviglia); Teatro Carlo Felice Genoa (Il Trovatore); Teatro alla Scala (Ifhigénie en Tauride, I pagliacci with Riccardo Muti in 1993, Lucia di Lammermoor); Teatro di San Carlo in Naples (L'Elisir d'amore, Werther, Roberto Devereux); Berlin Staatsoper (Il Trovatore); Teatro Comunale in Bologna (Dom Sébastien, Attila, Un giorno di regno, Manon Lescaut, La favorite, Requiem by Fauré conducted by Pappano); Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich (La Bohème, Don Pasquale); Staatsoper in Vienna (Il barbiere di Siviglia, Il Trovatore, Un Ballo in maschera); Staatsoper in Hamburg, (La Bohème, La Traviata); Concertgebouw in Amsterdam (Roberto Devereux); Nederlandse Opera (Falstaff with Riccardo Chailly in 1994); Royal Opera House, Covent Garden in London (Il corsaro, La battaglia in Legnano); Teatro Municipal of Santiago in Chile (Don Carlo, Don Pasquale) and the Opera House in San Francisco (Lucia di Lammermoor). He has also successfully interpreted Un Ballo in maschera, Rigoletto (Japanese tour with Rai from Turin, Politeama Greco in Lecce), Attila (Houston, Festival in Macerata, Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires), Luisa Miller and La favorita (Bilbao), La parisina (Wexford Opera Festival, Ireland), Arlesiana (Baldassarre; Teatro Regio in Parma), La Traviata (Germont; Liege, Tokyo), Les martyrs (Severe; Reggio Emilia), Faust (Valentino; Sferisterio in Macerata), Saffo (Alcandro; Reggio Emilia) Lucia di Lammermoor (Enrico; Teatro Comunale in Florence, Japan Opera Foundation in Tokyo), Evgenij Onegin (Tokyo), Un giorno di regno (Piacenza, Bologna) I Masnadieri (Palermo), collaborating with famous international conductors and directors, among which Campanella, Gatti, Gavazzeni, Viotti and Brockhaus, De Hana, Pier'Alli, Pizzi, Ronconi, Zeffirelli.

Among Roberto Servile's most recent engagements are his interpretation of the role of Ezio in Attila at the Zurich Opernhaus and the Teatro Regio in Parma, where he received a warm reception and was very successful with the critics and the audience, Guglielmo Tell at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome conducted by Chung, Falstaff at the Tanglewood Festival with Osawa and at the Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse conducted by Marco Armiliato, Rigoletto and Il Trovatore in Busseto and in Siena with the Fondazione Arturo Toscanini of Parma, as well as his debut in the title role of Gianni Schicchi at the Teatro Donizetti in Bergamo. Recently he returned to the Teatro dell'Opera in Rome to interpret the role of Francesco Foscari in Due Foscari conducted by Bartoletti and he made his debut in the role of Ismaele Bertucci in Marino Faliero at the Teatro Regio in Parma.

His discographic experience includes recordings such as Barbiere di Siviglia, Il Trovatore and Falstaff for Naxos, Iris for Fonit Cetra and Il Trovatore for the Fonè Label.

His future engagements include La favorite in Oviedo, Madama Butterfly at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo, Un Ballo in maschera and La Traviata at the Deutsche Oper in Berlin, I masnadieri at the Teatro A.B.A.O. - O.L.B.E.
