Lucia Real was born in Madrid and at a very early age she completed her formation at the Real Conservatorio de Musica in Madrid, with the highest marks.
When she was 15 years old she entered one of the most famous ballet companies in Spain, the Antonio Ruiz Soler’s company, and she performed in the greatest theatres in the world.
Subsequently, she became lead dancer in Rafael de Córdoba’s ballet company.
Then she knew El Camborio, with whom she got engaged both professionally and personally, gaining great success.
At the Arena di Verna she made her debut in 1990 as lead dancer in Carmen, a role that she performed also in 1995 and all the following editions (1996, 1997, 1999, 2002, 2003, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010); she came back as lead dancer for Il Trovatore in 2001 and for 2004 and 2010 seasons.
Since 2003 she has resumed the choreography by El Camborio for Carmen (2006, 2008, 2009, 2010) and since 2004 the choreography of Il Trovatore (2010).
