Carla Teti is from Rome and received her diploma in 1991 from the Accademia di Belle Arti in Rome in Scenography and in 1992 she received her specialised diploma in scenography from the Teatro dell'Opera in Rome, where she worked from 1994 to 1996.
In 1995 she won the competition of the "Teatro di Documenti" for Faust II
, founded by Luciano Damiani, Luca Ronconi and Giuseppe Sinopoli. Since then she has collaborated as assistant scenographer and costume designer with Graziano Gregori for various prose and lyrical productions.
Carla Teti has designed the costumes for the operas: Il guardiano
(directed by G. Emiliani), Cavalleria Rusticana and Suor Angelica
(directed by L. De Fusco), Evgenij Onegin
(directed by Y. Alexandrov), Pollicino, Hänsel e Gretel
and recently, Marin Faliero
(directed by D. Abbado), which inaugurated the 2001-2002 opera season in Parma.
